General Guide only.......... for January

    Pheasants

    - all states

  • If there are any eggs still being laid, collect them as soon as possible if you are going to incubate them.

  • The young birds hatched early in the season should be a reasonable size now, so list your " For Sale" birds in the PWSA magazine, The Pheasant.( advertising is for members only)

  • Some of your breeding birds will be starting to moult if they have finished laying

    Waterfowl

    - all states

  • you should be raring baby ducklings.

    - northern states

  • Whistlers, Magpie Geese, Chestnut & Grey Teal, Wood Ducks, PacificBlacks, White Eye Ducks, should be breeding  through to March.

    - southern states

  • native Waterfowl should be being weaned.
