Pheasants

    - all states

• The first-born chicks for the season should be growing well by now.

• Keep a check of them for cannibalism (particularly the game pheasants). It may be necessary to separate them or move them to larger pens. Providing things like fruit and vegetables for them to peck at and keep them occupied may also help.

    Waterfowl

    - northern states

• Mandarins  will be being rared.

• NZ Scaup should be starting to breed through to end Dec.

    - southern states

• you will be raring baby waterfowl.
