    Pheasants

    - all states

  • Some pheasants will still be laying.

  • The eggs that are laid towards the end of the season tend to be less fertile than those at the start of the season, but if set, a reasonable number may still hatch.

  • Some young ones may be at the stage where you can distinguish between males and females, so you can start selling them.

  • They can be wormed and have preventative treatments added to their drinking water.

  • Most of the male pheasants will start losing their coloured feathers.

    Waterfowl

    - all states

  • Male mandarins lose their coloured feathers. 

    - northern states

  • Whistlers, Magpie Geese, Chestnut & Grey Teal, Wood Ducks, PacificBlacks, White Eye Ducks, start breeding and can breed anytime through to March.

    - southern states

  • you will be raring baby waterfowl.

  • you should be weaning baby waterfowl.
